Eat Pray Love by Rev. Dr Jimmy Oentoro
Really…the bottom line is PEOPLE! Whatever we do, it's not the program, not the performance, nor the event. But, our church is about people. People, is Our Mission!
I have been truly inspired by a very wealthy man in Indonesia. He told me once that whenever he goes to a city called Medan, he would always choose to stay at people's homes. He modestly does this, just so that people can hear about the gospel.
As pastors in our worldwide movement of IFGF GISI, we must grab three habits that will bring us closer to PEOPLE. Eat, Pray, and Love! Inspired by Julia Roberts and friends, this is a real call to all of us if we want to continue to go strong. In Acts 2: 46-47, it is said that "Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved". The LIFE of the early church is right there. We want to follow the example of the early church as we adopt these three lifestyles this year. First, we eat with our leaders and pastors. Second, we eat with our church members or other Christians. And third, we eat with the un-churched to bring them to God and His church.
Let's together leave our mark and a beautiful legacy behind with EAT PRAY & LOVE. And I believe Christ's Kingdom will be glorified!
